I’ll be honest with you. I used to scoff at people who pushed self help books on me. I thought they were too cheesy however I’ve been reading the last few years since starting my business and I will 100% confidentially say, I was flat out wrong. Since I’ve opened my mind to self help books, I’ve discovered they can actually make amazing transformations in your life.
Here are 5 reasons why you need to start reading self help books to achieve your goals.
1. Stop allowing weaknesses to hold you back.
If you know that you procrastinate too much or you lack productivity how are you going to get yourself over it and start making progress toward your goals? Whatever you’ve been doing in the past clearly hasn’t been working so you need to find yourself a new approach. How are you going to find yourself this new approach? Well a book, written by an expert in the field of course! It’s a great place to start.
2. You’ll start to interpret yourself and the world more positively.
When you start to read an inspiring book every single day, you flood your brain with positive words and uplifting concepts. Making the time for this raises your vibrations and keeps you in an optimal condition more often than not.
3. You’ll be inspired to make better choices and take positive actions more often.
A log of personal development books come with exercises or prompts that get you thinking about the choices you make why you actually make those choices. An honest evaluation of your life as it is frees you to make the changes you need to make while still feeling good about yourself. When you’re aware of the thinking behind your actions you can erase your negative thoughts and replace them with words of love, possibility, power, and magic. This makes you super aware of what you choose to fill your day with, so you can do more of what’s working and less of what’s not.
4. Increase Your Self Belief And Open Your Mind To New Approaches
When you learn a solution to a problem you’re having, implement it, and see it working you’ll increase your own confidence and self-belief that you CAN do this and work through your problems on your own. This will give you the momentum to keep pushing forwards.
If you’re someone who is overwhelmed easily and you have trouble focusing on one thing at a time and can never figure out what to do first, you are the exact person who needs some clarity and focus in your life. Choose a book that tackles a problem you know you’ve got by an author who you respect and use the book to tackle a specific set of challenges first. Once you’ve got those ones cracked, move onto the next.
You may have tried all sorts of ways to solve problems you’ve got and be on the verge of giving up. However, you might just need a new approach or way of thinking to help you take a massive leap forward.
5. Smash Through Your Limitations.
You start to believe you can be more, do more, and experience more. A daily diet of inspiring words spurs you to explore what you’re capable of, and where your limitations lie so you can smash through them. This is how you get stronger & better. You dare yourself to go where you haven’t gone before, so you can experience what you haven’t had before.
When we beleive we can be more, we’re pulled to do and feel more.
All the positive thinking, decision making, and better choices make you hungry for growth and excellence. You will find yourself mapping out a vision for your life and crafting an action plac that gets you where you want to go.
