There’s only 15 grams of protein per serving?? Only 20 servings per bag? $64 a bag with autoship, if not it’s more. I may get hell for posting this comparison but some people really need to quit looking at the “paid celebrities” some companies have promoting their products and actually look at a nutritional label!!
This is just personal opinion, I mean you guys can use whatever you want but why not get more bang for your buck??
Shakeology– don’t get me wrong.. shakeology has a TON of vitamins and minerals in it. Which is great. The thing i don’t like about shakeology is 14g-20g of carbs per serving, 18g of protein per serving (again…low on the protein scale), 9 grams of sugar!?, and the list goes on. One thing i don’t quite understand about beachbody period is their “no magic pill motto”… now we all know there is no magic pill but don’t shame people who take thermogenics to help their metabolisms, to help their confidence when they look at the scale everyday and see it go down just a tad bit, to feel that instant gratification to keep them pushing forward with their weight loss journey. Don’t you dare shame them. I won’t even say them, I’m saying US! Because i do take my own supplements, i whole heartedly believe in supplements, and why? Because they’ve helped me take off 50 pounds! Has it been easy? Heck no!! Am i a work in progress everyday? YES! Do i have my “off days”? Hell yes!! We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t have off days. Even the most powerful, strongest athletes have their off days.
They say “once you stop taking those pills, all that weight will come back” …well duh!! If you go back to eating McDonalds everyday and pizza every night and not hydrate or exercise regularly then sure, weight will creep back. BUT what happens when you aren’t doing beachbody workouts everyday and drinking your $130 bag of shakeology as a meal everyday? Does the weight come back then? SURE DOES!!
Sorry for the rant but I do not like some company’s ways of promoting their business. We tell it like it is here. Because when it comes to my body I’d want to know the good, the bad, and the ugly of a supplement.
I use Crave (I’m partial, though) and I’m still pushing the post workout double scoop and pre-workout single scoop. It’s tough to get my macros in. (Being 145 pounds I should aim for 140g of protein a day) <- That’s a ton and I would NOT be able to do it without a protein shake. No way could i eat that much meat in a day.
So the point of my rant here— check nutritional labels. Make sure you’re getting enough protein for your body. Stop going to the companies who are ripping you off with paid celebs and #GSD (get shit done) without hurting your wallet.
If you want to know more about my $35 shake that contains 30+ (sometimes i can get about 40 serving out of a bottle of Crave) servings, that doesn’t have the highest protein content out there but for a woman my size, it’s just perfect, the taste can’t be beat I promise you that and that has a 30 day money back guarantee if you’re not fully satisfied with the shake— then click here!
–Rant Over!
